1. Who We Are
Realm of Guidance is a spirituality, manifestation, personal growth and inner healing publication operating at realmofguidance.com (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@realmofguidance.com. We are the data controller for information collected through this Site.
By using the Site you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Contact and enquiry details — your name, email address and message when you use a contact form, request a call or email us.
- Email subscription details — your email address and, optionally, your first name when you subscribe to our newsletter.
- Booking details — information you supply when booking a session or enrolling in a course, including scheduling preferences.
- Comment data — your name, email address, comment content, IP address and browser user agent string if you leave a comment.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and screen size.
- Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, referring URL, exit pages and approximate geographic location derived from IP address.
- Cookie and identifier data — cookies, local storage entries and advertising identifiers set by us and by the third-party services described in section 5.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect special category data such as health records, religious affiliation, biometric data or financial account numbers. Please do not send sensitive personal information through our contact forms or by email.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries, booking requests and support messages.
- To send newsletters and updates where you have subscribed, and to allow you to unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure site traffic, understand which articles are useful and improve our content and site structure.
- To display advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented to it, and to measure ad performance and detect ad fraud.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Site, prevent abuse and diagnose technical faults.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (UK/EU Visitors)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for personalised advertising, non-essential cookies and newsletter subscriptions. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for basic site analytics, security monitoring and responding to enquiries, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
- Contract — where processing is necessary to deliver a course, session or booking you have requested.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with applicable law.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Partners
This Site is monetised through display advertising. Advertising partners and their vendors may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads.
5.1 Ezoic
We use Ezoic to manage and optimise advertising and site performance. Ezoic and its advertising partners may process personal data such as cookie identifiers, IP address and browsing behaviour. Ezoic’s own privacy policy and the current list of advertising vendors it works with are published below and at ezoic.com/privacy-policy.
5.2 Google AdSense and Google advertising products
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and Your Online Choices.
5.3 Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5.4 Email service provider
Newsletter subscriptions are processed through Mailchimp. Your email address is stored on Mailchimp’s servers and processed under their privacy policy. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
5.5 Affiliate partners
Some outbound links on this Site are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner network may set a cookie to attribute a resulting purchase. See our Disclaimer & Affiliate Disclosure for details.
6. Cookies and Your Choices
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use them for essential site functionality, for analytics, and for advertising.
- Strictly necessary cookies keep the Site secure and functioning. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies tell us which pages are read and where visitors come from.
- Advertising cookies are used to select and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same ad.
Visitors from regions with applicable consent laws are shown a consent management platform (CMP) on first visit, where advertising and analytics purposes can be accepted or rejected. You can reopen the CMP at any time to change your choices. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Site may stop working correctly.
7. Data Retention
- Contact form and email correspondence: retained up to 24 months after the last exchange.
- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe, after which your record is suppressed or deleted.
- Comments and their metadata: retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised, unless you request deletion.
- Analytics data: retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics, typically 14 months.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Request a portable copy of data you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of sharing for personalised advertising, use the consent controls described in section 6 or contact us.
To exercise any right, email hello@realmofguidance.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. International Transfers
Our service providers, including advertising, analytics and email platforms, may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
10. Security
We use HTTPS across the Site, restrict administrative access, and apply login protection and regular software updates. No method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you transmit to us.
11. Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
Our articles link to external websites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit through a link from here.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our advertising partners or the law. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
